2012 U.S. Proof Sets On Sale Today


The United States Mint will start taking orders for the 2012 Proof Set (clad) on May 7, 2012 at noon Eastern Time (ET). The 90% silver set will go on sale on June 4, 2012 at 12:00 Noon (ET). The Clad Proof Set will sell for $31.95 and the Silver Proof Set will start at $67.95 (subject to change depending upon the price of silver). Both sets include 14 coins: Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half dollar, the Native American dollar, five America The Beautiful quarters and four Presidential dollars. The silver version of the 2012 proof set has the dime, half dollar, and five quarters made out of 90% silver. Shipping and handling starts at $4.95 per order.

2012 Infantry Soldier Silver Dollar On Sale Now


The United States Mint has begun selling The 2012 Infantry Soldier Silver Dollar commemorative coin. The designs on the coin symbolize the courage, pride, sacrifice, sense of duty and history of the U.S. Army’s Infantry Soldiers. The obverse features a modern military soldier charging forward and signaling for his fellow troops to follow. This is representative of the infantry’s motto “Follow Me”. The reverse features the crossed rifle insignia of the Infantry. The proof version is available at the introductory price of $49.95 until March 19, 2012 after which the price will increase to $54.95. The uncirculated version is available at the introductory price of $44.95 until March 19, 2012 when the price will increase to $49.95. The “2012 Infantry Soldier Silver Dollar Defenders of Freedom Set” includes a proof version and a replica dog tag in a special commemorative folder for $51.95.
